Abejar The Green Soria:
Abejar is located in the Comarca de Pinares where you can enjoy its natural scenic charms, among which the Laguna Negra and the Picos de Urbión, as well as the Cuerda del Pozo reservoir with the recreational area at Playa Pita and Embarcadero.
It is located in the Soria Verde, the region of Pinares, the most exuberant that nature has given to this province, with a multitude of streams, small waterfalls, immense rocky outcrops, meadows where cows and horses graze ... and all this guarded by that great watchtower that are the Peaks of Urbión in which the Douro River is born, and where the waters are collected in the Laguna Negra machadiana of the legend of Alvargonzález.
Abejar is located on a hillside and surrounded by wonderful landscapes (Soria Verde area), such as pine and oak groves, the river de la dehesa and its meadows, the peaks of the umbrÃa, and the swamp de la Cuerda from the well.
It is called "La Puerta de Pinares" as it opens the way to the pine forests of Urbión and the initial basin of the Duero.
